Help us to support disabled survivors of abuse

Due to movement internally within the team, Stay Safe East currently has a vacancy for a full time Disability Safe Accommodation Advocate.

The role is part of a partnership for the Ascent Pan London Floating Support Service (PLFSS), which will provide high-quality domestic abuse support, ‘by-and-for’ services and counselling. This partnership delivers trauma-informed, wrap-around, client-led support for those in safe accommodation, across London.

 

SAFE ACCOMODATION INDEPENDENT DISABILITY AND DOMESTIC ABUSE ADVOCATE 

35 hours per week. Base salary £31,770 per annum

 Post currently funded to 31.3.2025 by MOPAC. Funding usually renewed on an annual basis.

This post is open to women only due to the nature of our domestic abuse client group. (Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010).

 We are seeking an experienced worker to support and advocate for disabled survivors of domestic abuse in London. You will ideally have at least one year’s experience advocating for victim/survivors of crime or abuse and must have supported disabled survivors and met their needs. You should be able to negotiate on behalf of your clients to help them achieve safety, justice and recovery outcomes. You should be resilient, self-organised and understand how to work to an intersectional model of disability with a diverse group of clients.
